Seeds of Hope Food Garden: This team, launched in the spring of 2009, manages a food donation garden right on our property.  The garden raises and donates about 600 lbs of fresh produce per year to Saline Area Social Service, which distributes to the hungry in our area.  New volunteers, from in or outside of the church, are always welcome.

Paper Pantry: Launched in February of 2013, in conjunction with St. Paul UCC Church in Saline, this team distributes free grocery bags of hygiene items (toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, etc.) to low-income housing locations in our area.  The ministry arose out of the realization that Bridge Cards (i.e. food stamps) do not pay for these kinds of items, thus making them very hard for low-income people to access. In its first 8 months, our mobile paper pantry gave out more than 3,000 items.  Currently the pantry meets to bag and distribute one Saturday a month.  Plans are underway to expand this ministry which meets such an urgent need in our community.  Help from any and all is welcome.

Delonis Center:  Delonis is in downtown Ann Arbor and is home to the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County.  Delonis also houses Food Gatherers' Community Kitchen which provides 20 meals a week to those in need.  We have the honor of helping prepare and serve an evening meal on the 5th Tuesday of the month (about 4 or 5 times a year).

Knitting and Quilting:  Baby Bonnets and Quilts, and Prayer Shawls - the bonnets and quilts are donated to the neonatal care unit at the University of Michigan Mott hospital.  About 6 times a year (or as the supply demands), the hats and quilts are blessed and then delivered to the hospital to give an extra snuggle to those that enter the world too early. (click here for knitting directions for a basic baby bonnet).

The Prayer Shawl Ministry was new in the fall of 2015.  The Holy Faith congregation blesses each shawl by prayer and touch before it is delivered to someone who needs to be "wrapped in prayer". (click here for a basic prayer shawl pattern).

Three on the 3rd and Holiday Baskets:  We feel a close connection to Saline Area Social Service (SASS) here in our community. We get great joy from providing full, complete meal baskets for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter to SASS.  Also, on the 3rd Sunday of the month we offer our members the opportunity to bring in three non-perishable food or household items to be offered up and donated to SASS.

Crop Walk:  Crop Walk is a global event to "end hunger, one step at a time" and in Saline, we participate in early October.

Labyrinth:
Holy Faith Church welcomes you to use our labyrinth. The labyrinth is located outdoors, toward the back of our parking lot, at 6299 Ann Arbor-Saline Road, Saline, Michigan. It is adjacent to the Saline Cooperative Preschool playground and surrounded by views of the Brookside Golf Course. We welcome you to quietly enjoy our sacred outdoor spaces - the labyrinth and the memorial prayer garden (adjacent to our main building, through the arbor archway) - at any time during daylight hours. Our labyrinth is wheelchair accessible.

In This Together - Dementia Awareness:
On Wednesday evenings from May to July 2019 we attracted a consistent audience of 40-50 people to hear various speakers deliver on the promise that no one should face dementia alone. Many people returned week after week, and new faces showed up weekly too. The most common comments we received were: I’m glad I came, and I wish I had known this stuff sooner. Discussions are underway for future offerings of this series.
