Ways to Give
Giving at Holy Faith Church is rooted in the faith of Jesus Christ and in the joy to do God’s work in the world. There are many ways to give, big or small, and whether you make a pledge for an ongoing contribution or a one-time donation. Whatever you choose to give, we welcome you to join HFC in helping transform our community by supporting this life-giving work. |
Holy Faith Church participates with E-giving which allows members and visitors alike to make donations to the continuing mission and ministries of Holy Faith via the internet.
To make a donation, please click on the E-giving logo at left and follow the quick and easy steps. It's a secure way to participate in the stewardship of God's resources. |
What is a pledge?
A pledge is your best estimate of what you plan to give the church throughout the coming year. Your pledge can be stated in weekly, monthly, or annual increments. There may be times when unexpected personal financial burdens arise. Or perhaps an unexpected windfall is gained. Perhaps the parish has meant something extraordinary this year to you or those whom you love. Because your pledge is not a binding commitment, at these times you should feel free to adjust your payment schedule as needed, by delaying, reducing, accelerating, or increasing your pledge. Please contact Holy Faith’s Financial Secretary, Mike Centivre: bmwcent@aol.com What is an appropriate pledge amount? Whether you are a lifelong member, or a relative newcomer, your pledge will help fund Holy Faith’s ministries for the coming year. The Parish Leadership Team hopes to slowly expand the budget to fund a full-time pastor and allow for more ministries (Christian education, youth ministry and outreach, for example) while also providing a sustainable model of building maintenance. Each person must decide what to give. Two households each giving generously could contribute very different amounts, due to differing circumstances. Consider how important your faith is for you and this community - what does your heart tell you? |
“If you are not smiling when you sign your pledge card, you have filled in the wrong amount. You have pledged either too much or too little. Give a happy amount!” - The Rev. J. Hugh Magers
I already contribute throughout the year by sending occasional donations. Why should I pledge?
Pledging is a way of making a commitment to God by joining with others to support the work of Holy Faith. A commitment made ahead of time allows us to plan the 2021 budget based on clear expectations of income. Occasional gifts are greatly appreciated, but do not provide a predictable income stream adequate to fund our operating budget. If I am unsure about pledging, should I submit a pledge card? YES! For those of you who choose not to pledge but would like to contribute anyway (or for those waiting to know more about your household’s financial situation), we still want to hear from you. Your thoughtful response will help us plan responsibly for the coming year, and we will know not to include you in a phone-a-thon seeking pledges. Who knows what I pledge to Holy Faith? Only our Financial Secretary (currently Mike Centlivre) and Pastor Andrea may access giving information (and Office Manager Laurie Tikkanen if you submit your pledge online). |
